I can’t even begin to express how happy I am with the way people have reacted to the blog. In just one day, my page got over 1,000 views (including people from Germany, South Korea, Canada and the UK!) When I first posted, I had been hoping that there was even one person who would view it. It makes me so happy to have people tell me how I am helping them get motivated and inspired. Thank you so much for taking the time to view my page and to read what I have to say! The best time to start working on bettering yourself and building a brighter future is now. If there's one thing I can say with absolute certainty, it is this: if you express what you want out of life, remain positive, and work hard to achieve it, you will be happy and successful.

Whether it is with friends, our environment, music, or who we choose to look up to, it is up to us to decide what inspires us. Inspiration is everywhere, as long as you open your eyes and your mind to it. Let yourself learn from experiences- whether they are good or bad, they are there to teach you something. Focus all of your energy on the good and you won’t have any time for negativity.

Today, take the time to ask yourself what exactly it is that inspires you. For me, I would say that overall, I am inspired by good people, good music, and beautiful sights. There is nothing that can inspire me more than a creative person who desires to make something of themselves- someone with a set of goals, a vision, and drive. I am extremely inspired by music that makes me feel- music that has meaning and something I can connect with (most specifically: The Lonely Biscuits). Being in a beautiful place inspires me and allows me to see that when I’m feeling down, there’s so much more out there than any foolish problems I may be facing. There’s an entire world and endless things to experience, if you decide to get up and explore it. Today, I got to enjoy all three of the things that inspire me. I drove around one of my favorite cities and explored with one of my closest friends, Miranda, while listening to the music that inspires us and makes us happy. We went to an awesome breakfast place in Providence (Brickway on Wickenden, I highly recommend it!) and then walked around the city and took pictures. Know what makes you happy and dedicate your time to it as often as you can. A relaxing day with good company in a beautiful place can sometimes be exactly what you need.

If you take one thing out of this, remember that you choose what inspires you. You choose who you surround yourself with. Amy Poehler once said, “I want to be around people that do things. I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people who dream and support and do things.” Know who these people are… Appreciate them and work on strengthening relationships with them rather than focusing on negative and toxic people.  Make the conscious effort today to be around these people- the dreamers and the supporters- the ones who want to see you be the best possible version of you that you can be.

Happy Thursday, everyone!
