Like the true tourists that we are, we visited the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and, my personal favorite, Champs-Élysées. We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, saw a Moulin Rouge show, took a dinner cruise along the Seine. My trip was made complete when we visited Ladurée and got to eat macaroons in the tea room.
Almost each weekend is spent in a different city or different country and I am so incredibly lucky to be able to experiencing as much as I have been. These places are too beautiful to only see in pictures. Every day, I'm able to check something new off of my bucket list- and this is all happening for me at the age of 20. The fact that I was able to see France from 281 meters up at the top of the Eiffel Tower is something I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. The only thing better than being able to travel is being able to travel with people you care about. Getting to spend two weeks with my family was just what I needed and made me miss home a little more than I already had, but I am living out the opportunity of a lifetime- and because of that, I have no complaints.
Only two weeks after my trip, I am already missing Paris and everything that the city had to offer. I'm making a vow that this will not be the last time that I will be visiting this city.
Jusqu'à la prochaine fois, Paris.
