Barcelona, Spain: 11/14/14-11/16/16

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and lively cities I have visited during my time abroad is Barcelona. Spain's second largest city is full of some of the most beautiful architecture, delicious food and greatest nightlife in the entire world. The culture is one that I will admire for the rest of my life. The city has so much to offer and I am so incredibly lucky that I had the chance to see it for myself.

One of my favorite parts of my weekend in Barcelona was spending my Friday night at Opium, a nightclub with a terrace right on the beach. In true Barcelona style, we arrived at the club at around midnight. It's common in Barcelona to go out late and stay out until around 7:00 in the morning. While we knew this was not possible for us, we vowed to try our best to stay out as late as we could. We spent our night in a VIP section at the club and loved every second of the Barcelona nightlife before calling it quits at around 4:30 in the morning- something I absolutely could not do at home!

The rest of my weekend was spent obsessing over tapas and paella, watching the sunset in the Olympic Stadium, shopping in the city center and open markets while embracing my inner nerd and absolutely loving the Catalan architecture. Park Güell was more amazing than I could have ever imagined and leaving the city left me heartbroken. It is one that I will be back to visit with no hesitation.

Here's to an amazing weekend and a quick return to Barcelona, gracias, España!
