What I Wore: Sunday 4/6/14

Top: Forever 21, Shorts: Material Girl, Boots: Thrifted, Bracelet: Garage, Cuff: Topshop, Socks: Urban Outfitters

"Take wrong turns. Talk to strangers. Open unmarked doors. And if you see a group of people in a field, go find out what they are doing. Do things without always knowing how they'll turn out. You're curious and smart and bored, and all you see is the choice between working hard and slacking off. There are so many adventures that you miss because you're waiting to think of a plan. To find them, look for tiny interesting choices. And remember that you are always making up the future as you go.
- Randall Munroe

This past week was full of adventures and it was one of the best weeks of my entire life. I've realized that one of my favorite things to do is go somewhere I have never been before. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of going to California. It's such a beautiful place and there's so many things to do. LA was my dream place to travel to that I can now check off of my bucket list. Make a list of your dream places, then ask yourself what it is that is holding you back from going out and exploring them.

Traveling, I believe, is the best possible way to learn. Go out and see the places you have never seen. Meet new people. Try new things. Go somewhere that nobody knows you. You will learn so much about these places and even more about yourself. I always knew that I had the strongest urge to travel and see new places- but actually doing so showed me that I'm not content with staying in one place. I want to see as much of the world as I can.. I never want to be bored with my life. I want to find adventure everywhere I go- because it is there to be found. At almost 20 years old, I now know that my adventure has only begun. You are never too young or too old to go on new adventures. There is no better time than right now.

Here's to more adventures to come,

LA Days 3-5

The end of our trip was nothing short of perfect. We spent our last few days in LA eating lunch at The Ivy, exploring Hermosa Beach and Santa Monica, going on a Starline Tour through Beverly Hills, seeing the Hollywood Sign, walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame and being in love with Rodeo Drive. LA is the most beautiful place I've ever been to and has so much to offer. The only part of the trip that I did not like was leaving- and that was made a bit more bearable when I found out that they sold macaroons (my absolute favorite) at the airport. It's my first day back home and I'm already missing California, but I am so lucky to have had the trip of a lifetime and to have been able to share it with my sister. It was a trip I will never forget and one that I highly advise everybody to take if they have a chance to!

Here's to the end of one of the best weeks of my life.

LA Day 2: 4/1/14

We are loving everything about LA and on day two I can already tell that I'm going to have a hard time getting on the plane to go home at the end of the week. My second day in LA was spent laying out by the pool, walking around Manhattan Beach, eating the most delicious pumpkin pizza at Pitfire Pizza and getting gelato at Bonaventura Gelato Lounge! LA is full of the cutest little shops, great restaurants, DELICIOUS desserts, skaters, musicians and perfect weather- I could stay here forever!

Happy Wednesday and here's to an amazing rest of the week!

LA Day 1: 3/31/14

After a 6 hour flight, our first day in LA was spent shopping in Venice, exploring Santa Monica Pier, obsessing over a shop called Ananda, drinking Intelligentsia coffee and eating delicious crêpes at Café Crêpe. Day 1 in LA was a success!

Here's to the start of a perfect vacation!
